Joy In Christ

  • "Christ came to bring joy; joy to children, joy to parents, joy to families and friends, joy to the sick and elderly, joy to all humanity. In a true sense Joy is the keynote message of Christianity, and the recurring motif of the Gospels. Go therefore and become messengers of joy." -Pope John Paul II

I can so relate to what you wrote.Being home and with the kids all of time sometimes we forget weneed to be filled to be able to give. We do not get to punch a clock at 4:00 or 5:00, so sometimes our work load just continues. People who leave their jobs to go home each day can leave their clients or work there. I go to therapy and one of the reasons is to remind myself that I do need to take time out for me.If I am not filled I have less to put out in return.Lately, I do try to think of punching an imaginary clock. I try to slow down and do less work after 5:00 certain things will have to wait, no laundry, no dishes,no cleaning( things that can be done tomorrow when I "punch back in" or it will never end. It can be very challenging to find a balance but with prayer and God's grace I know we will. Thanks so much for your prayers and support!!
