Last year, after reading a thread on the 4Real board (A big THANK YOU to Rachel and Jodie!!) I decided to try my hands at making Tamales for Christmas. Each year, Robert would talk about his family tradition of making tamales for Christmas. There would be a tamale crew of family members. Each person was assigned a part in the assembly line.
Robert was the entire "tamale crew" this year. I could tell that he had a plan, and it would be better for me to stay out of the way focus my energy on baking Christmas cookies.
what a great guy!! my mom is sending some tamales with my sister who flies in tomorrow~God willing.

Hello! I'm here from Regina's blog. I was excited to see tamales on your blog--they are big here in NM. Are you her friend from NM? I cannot remember. I know she and the kids are enjoying their walks with you guys.
Take care.
